Coup De Tete

Hailing from the fens and based in Peterborough/Grantham, compared to the pixies and fugazi, coup de tete deliver loud fuzzy ukelele to your eardrums. Originally starting as a two piece under the name of Fuzzy Dunlop (Sam Jarvis and Joe Spurdens) the pair began to adapt Sam's solo project (Le Jarv) into a louder, distorted amalgamation of country/folk and punk.

As they began to write their own new music together, they felt that something was missing. The ukelele needed a partner, and one that would provide some low-end goodness. Emma French was brought into the band on bass and coup de tete was born. They began down their DIY journey of creating huge walls of noise.

Since early 2023 the band has been writing, recording and producing all of their music and music videos by themselves. With a wide range of musical inspiration, ranging from country/folk to alternative/indie and emo/math rock, they make sure to not shy away from polarising genre choices for different releases. This is most recently showcased in their first full length album 'Humans = Extermination' which you can listen to on bandcamp and all streaming services.
